I really liked this quote because its really nice and it shoes the bond between Ray and Japhy. The end of their time together is nearly over and they both will move on with their lives. They are both very different but they have grown off of each other and become very close and taught each other a lot.
“Japhy came out on deck with Psyche in his arms and threw her clean off the boat.” Page 215
I found this quote very funny. He had finally gotten Psyche and she was willing to go to Asia with him and leave everything. She was in tears and he just threw her off the boat. This shows his independence and how devoted he is to reaching his ultimate goal and learning everything he can about his religion.
